ACTIVITIES
We’ll go outside in the morning before it gets too hot. Outside activities include organized sports and field games (kickball, capture the flag, gator ball, ultimate Frisbee, baseball/t-ball, soccer, etc.), rented, supervised amazing water-slides, water guns, water games, and water balloons. Not all age groups will do all the activities. Activities will vary according to age group.
Inside activities include organized, age-appropriate games in the fabulously air-conditioned Gym, good old-fashioned arts & crafts (really fun crafts like you did growing up, but don’t want your children to do in your house nowJ-lanyards, tie dyed shirts, creative painting, wacky-wearables, string art & more), food crafts (cake decorating, cookie baking etc.), science projects (we haven’t blown anything up, yet, but we do love green slime), Upstairs Game Room (four square, centers with blocks, dolls, arts and crafts, bowling lane, air hockey, PS2® and Game Cube®, etc.), Arcade Room with professional arcade games, plus ping pong and air hockey, and the Southeast Building/Game Room with age-appropriate activities for all ages that include, board games, card games, puzzles, books, Legos®, blocks, coloring, etc.
Wednesday afternoons we slow things down and watch a G-rated movie. We have found that this mid-week break energizes for everyone for Thursday and Friday.
On Friday we have a special event (field day, karaoke, slime games, puppet shows, petting zoo, etc.) in the morning and a slideshow of the week’s highlights, Best Camper Awards and a mini talent show in the afternoon.
CABIN TIME
Children will be placed in age appropriate groups and assigned to their own “cabins”. These cabins are actually air-conditioned classrooms that have been rearranged and cleared out for summer camp. Cabins are “home base”. Here, campers keep their belongings, get ready for the day and spend free time. Each “cabin” is stocked with age appropriate games/toys.
